About us

Welcome to Byrds of Paradise!

We're Aaron and Jeremy—the founders, owners, and the entire team behind Byrds of Paradise. As a proudly queer-owned small business, we're passionate about creating a welcoming space where everyone can discover the joy of growing succulents and cacti, regardless of their experience or background.

What began as a shared love of plants has grown into a mission to make these extraordinary plants more accessible while building an inclusive community centered on curiosity, creativity, and connection. We believe that just as every plant is unique, every person brings something valuable to the community we're cultivating.

Our collection ranges from beginner-friendly favorites to unusual collector's specimens, with each plant carefully grown or selected for its health, beauty, and long-term success. We take pride in offering plants we would proudly grow in our own home.

As a two-person business, every part of Byrds of Paradise is personal. We propagate plants, care for our collection, answer your questions, pack every order, and celebrate every new customer ourselves. When you reach out to us, you're talking directly with one of the owners—not a customer service department.

Education is at the heart of what we do. We want every customer to feel confident caring for their plants, whether you're bringing home your very first succulent or searching for that one special addition to an established collection. Through care guides, growing tips, and ongoing support, we're here to help your plants thrive long after they leave our greenhouse.

Based in Arizona, we're committed to growing responsibly, propagating many of our own plants, and continually expanding our collection with unique and fascinating varieties. We value quality over quantity, sustainability where possible, and building genuine relationships with our customers.

Inclusivity isn't just something we say—it's one of the foundations of our business. Byrds of Paradise is a place where plant lovers of every identity, culture, background, ability, orientation, and experience level are welcome. We believe our community is stronger because of its diversity, and we're committed to fostering a space where kindness, respect, and authenticity always come first.

Whether you're looking for your first succulent, your hundredth cactus, or simply a place to share your love of plants, we're grateful you've found us.

Thank you for supporting our dream and for supporting a queer-owned small business. We look forward to growing with you.
